Avril is not your average Tour Guide, but who wants Average when you can have Fun-Loving, ex-oil-rig-worker, with an HGV class 1 license, a passion for motorbikes and, a love of the beautiful Scottish Highlands.

With her good craic and sense of humour, excellent local knowledge from being born and bred in the Highlands. Enjoy a fun-loving tour, sometimes with her sidekick and trainee Elise, her daughter. You are sure to have a fantastic day out no matter where you go and explore on one of many guided tours with Avril's Travels. 

Avril has been enjoying her new role as Driver Guide, business owner over 7 years and been a loving, caring mother for over 13 and counting. It really is a family business with Elise learning the roles from the bottom up as she can not reach the roof of the minibuses just yet when she is washing them. 

Avril prides herself in being the only independent tour operator using 16-seater minibuses.

We only take 14 passengers max unless special circumstances.

We will NEVER hire in coaches taking out large groups.

I love the idea of a female-only driver guide team, and I use only the best out there that have the same affection for our guests.  Lorraine Chisholm is my newest team member.  Lorraine is not only a local, she has strong historic clan connections, she is an experienced tour guide and has many years of 5-star reviews under her belt.  We both have a love of Scotland and want to share the knowledge with you, from Castles, Lochs to Outlander and the Jacobites.
